FSL Announces Outstanding Batter Award Saturday, September 1st , 2114 When Amari Quarles stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Florida State League Batter of the Month award. The young Clearwater shortstop posted a .255 batting average with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 23 runs. Quarles also worked pitchers for 20 walks to post a .378 on-base percentage. In this current campaign Quarles is hitting at a .279 clip with 28 home runs and 93 RBIs. |
