Dunedin Blue Jays Win Round 2
Tuesday, September 23rd , 2098
The Dunedin Blue Jays pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Round 2 in a hard-fought series with the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
It was a seesaw affair, but with a 7-6 victory at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, Dunedin lay claim to the franchise's 12th championship.
"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Jody Holman. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."
The champs finished the regular season 98-40 and claimed first place in the FSL North.
A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Dunedin in the days to come.
