Lindley Suspended by League Saturday, May 17th, 2053 Dennis Lindley, center fielder for the Daytona Tortugas, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 3-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Tampa. After being called out on strikes, Lindley stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Lindley told BNN today. Lindley is hitting .290 in 2053 with 5 RBIs and 1 home run. |
