McIlmoyle Twirls 1-0 Shutout for Bees Thursday, June 11th , 2099 The Burlington Bees did little to support starter Ed McIlmoyle against the Peoria Chiefs, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Chiefs, striking out 4 and surrendering 9 hits. The performance from McIlmoyle allowed Burlington to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Ed, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," McIlmoyle told BNN reporters following the win.
