Bees End Svare's Streak Saturday, July 4th , 2099 The 22-game hitting streak of Craig Svare has come to an end. The Beloit Snappers left fielder went 0-for-3 today in his team's 4-0 loss to the Burlington Bees at Harry C. Pohlman Field. "It's not just Craig who came up short today," Snappers manager Bill Zamora said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." This season Svare is swinging the bat at a .255 rate with 74 hits in 290 at-bats. To date he has hit 3 home runs, scored 37 runs and driven in 34. |
