Schmucker Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, August 3rd , 2108 Beloit second baseman Chris Schmucker has extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with a 1-for-2 day. However, the Cedar Rapids Kernels seized the 9-3 victory over the Snappers at Veterans Memorial Stadium. "Disappointing," Schmucker said of the outcome. Chris Schmucker hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this season, Schmucker has hit .321 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 25 times. |
