Great Lakes-West Michigan Brawl, Sanft and Brennan Suspended Wednesday, August 22nd , 2108 If there wasn't a history between Evan Sanft of Great Lakes and John Brennan of West Michigan, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Sanft said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Sanft is hitting .275 with 28 hits, 1 home run, 16 RBIs, scored 13 runs and played in 32 games. In 25 starts this season, Brennan has rung up a 6-9 record and a 5.56 ERA. |
