20-Game Hitting Streak for Romero Friday, August 29th , 2098 Alex Romero of the Quad Cities River Bandits tagged 1 hit in today's 7-6 loss to the Clinton LumberKings at Ashford University Field to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Alex Romero singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and walked in the 7th. In his season totals Romero has 9 home runs and a .330 batting average. |
