The 24-year-old out of Cortez, Colorado fashioned a 1.63 ERA this season over 77.1 innings of work. He made 38 relief appearances and had 13 saves, 126 strikeouts, 28 walks and a record of 4 wins and 3 losses.

He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 16. Aaron Crum of the Lansing Lugnuts finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Josh Hackert of the Bowling Green Hot Rods finished third.
