McClain Electric in 9-0 Win Sunday, September 5th, 2066 Pete McClain of the Quad Cities River Bandits spun his magic on the Beloit Snappers today. He blanked them 9-0 on 3 hits, registering 12 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," McClain said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Quad Cities skipper Tim Ahern said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
