Lexington Third Baseman Picked SAL Player of the Week Monday, June 23rd , 2098 Jordan Baeza must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .519 clip, then the Lexington third baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the SAL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Baeza batted .519 (14-for-27) with 1 home run and 7 RBIs. This year Baeza has hit at a .369 clip with 52 hits, 7 home runs, 24 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
