Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, August 25th , 2109 After an intense confrontation, both the Crawdads Ethan Cullins and the Braves Jose Hernandez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Hickory-Rome game. Ethan Cullins will miss 3 games, while Jose Hernandez was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ethan Cullins commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this season, Cullins is hitting .206 with 9 home runs. This year, Hernandez has a 2-6 record and a 5.55 ERA. |
