Romero and Stevens Fight, Get Suspended Monday, August 18th , 2098 Carlos Romero of the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Chris Stevens of the Asheville Tourists will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Grasshoppers-Tourists game at NewBridge Bank Park. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Romero and Stevens will begin serving them soon. Looking at his present stats, Romero has compiled a .000 batting average in 17 games with a .238 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 1 runs. To date, Stevens has registered a 11-7 won-lost mark, has 46 relief appearances and rung up 15 saves. He has a 3.01 ERA and has allowed 75 hits over his 89.2 innings of work, struck out 92 batters and walked 23. |
