GreenJackets Young to Miss Year
Friday, August 22nd , 2110
The season is finished for Jeff Young of the Augusta GreenJackets. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The GreenJackets starting pitcher suffered ulnar nerve entrapment while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Team doctors said it would take at least 4-5 months to heal.
This season, Young has compiled a 9-4 record with a 2.41 ERA in 25 starts.
