RiverDogs Zill Out Rest Of Season Thursday, July 19th , 2114 The season is finished for Curt Zill of the Charleston RiverDogs. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The RiverDogs closer suffered a fractured elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Greenville Drive. Team doctors said it would take at least 6 months to heal. Zill has 10 saves in 34 relief appearances this season with a 3-10 mark and 2.83 ERA. In 60.1 innings he has 64 strikeouts and 21 walks. Other clubs are hitting .177 against him. |
