Casarrubias Wins SAL Prize, Named Best Hitter in August Monday, September 1st , 2110 Sandy Casarrubias may be much younger than other hitters in the South Atlantic League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old Kannapolis right fielder hit .336 with 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Currently Casarrubias has 19 home runs and a .285 batting average. |
