Intimidators Move on to Round 2 Wednesday, September 17th , 2098 The joy and relief on the faces of the Kannapolis Intimidators players was obvious as they celebrated their Round 1 win over the Hagerstown Suns. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Kannapolis left fielder Miguel Maldonado, shortly after the 9-1 win that clinched the series 3-2. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Round 2. Maldonado won series MVP honors on the strength of his .263 batting average during the series. He also had a .250 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Kannapolis Intimidators don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Augusta GreenJackets - Lexington Legends series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
