Gomez Grabs SAL Reliever of the Year Monday, October 1st , 2108 His manager and teammates call Jorge Gomez a true bullpen ace. The South Atlantic League calls him the winner of the Reliever of the Year for 2108. The Kannapolis Intimidators relief specialist out of Villa Riva, Dominican Republic, won the award with 11 saves in 42 relief appearances, 66 strikeouts in 57 innings and 19 walks.
