Bryan Lupo of the Lakewood BlueClaws proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the South Atlantic League Most Valuable Player Award.

Lupo hit for a .319 average while collecting 176 hits, 41 doubles, 3 triples, 28 home runs, 93 RBIs and scoring 98 times.

He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Adam Beam of the Lakewood BlueClaws finished second in voting, while Orlando Chavez of the Augusta GreenJackets finished third.
