5-for-6 Game for Lazaro Monday, July 30th, 2057 The Batavia Muckdogs stopped the State College Spikes by a score of 7-6 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Juan Lazaro. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Lazaro said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Lazaro did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Spikes. "Not much that I can say," offered State College manager Danny Ortiz. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Juan Lazaro doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, singled in the 10th and doubled in the 13th.
