League Issues 7-Game Suspensions for Brawl Friday, August 2nd , 2115 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Centennial Field. Both the Cyclones and Lake Monsters were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Brooklyn's Steve Heilman and Vermont's Chad Crockett were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Heilman and Crockett for 7 games each. This season in 7 games, Heilman has hit at a .174 clip with 4 hits, no home runs, 0 RBIs and 1 run scored. |
