Brooklyn Blanks Hudson Valley, Torres Winner Saturday, June 28th , 2110 The Hudson Valley Renegades manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Brooklyn Cyclones. The Renegades were overpowered by Brooklyn starter Mike Torres, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Marquise Woods said. Over 9 innings, Torres blanked Hudson Valley on 4 hits with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off.
