Four-bagger Feast: Terry Slugs 3 for Williamsport Tuesday, July 15th , 2098 Fans are still buzzing after Williamsport whipped the Connecticut Tigers by the score of 17-3 today at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Sam Terry smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Terry said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Terry said. "Three is just... wow." Sam Terry hit a solo-shot off Phil Gibbs in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Phil Gibbs in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Manny Fierro in the 9th. Terry is hitting .316 so far this season with 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 25 hits including 10 home runs, 7 walks and .378 OBP. |
