Scrappers Pitching Ravaged by Hafner Wednesday, August 20th , 2110 The Batavia Muckdogs tripped up the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 8-5. The Muckdogs were led by Roy Hafner, their 22-year-old second baseman. Hafner made life miserable for Mahoning Valley pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Roy Hafner singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. So far this season, Hafner is hitting .294 with 1 home run.
