Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, September 11th , 2098 Jerry Alvarado of Mahoning Valley and Gerardo Gonzalez of West Virginia were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Alvarado will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Gonzalez was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. To date this year Alvarado is batting .259 with 2 home runs. To date this season Gonzalez has compiled a 0-8 record with a 10.29 ERA in 16 starts. |
