Scrappers Heading to Round 2 Wednesday, September 17th , 2098 The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have booked their place in the Round 2. By a score of 3-0, the club ousted the Williamsport Crosscutters in the Round 1 tonight at Bowman Field. Mahoning Valley won the series by a 3-1 margin. The series MVP was Scrappers closer Lindsay Nickerson. For his part, the MVP said he is not putting too much stock in the individual honor and instead simply "looking forward to the next round." The Mahoning Valley Scrappers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Vermont Lake Monsters - Brooklyn Cyclones series.
