NYP Outstanding Skipper Award Given to McCormick Monday, October 7th , 2097 Mike McCormick, skipper of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, was voted 2097 New York-Penn League Manager of the Year and accepted the award earlier today. He guided Mahoning Valley to first place in the Pinckney Division with a 56-20 record. "I'm very happy about this," he said at the press conference. "But I'm more happy about what my boys did on the field. They battled their butts off for me all year. They should get the credit." |
