League Suspends Edwards and Merlini for Brawl Monday, July 2nd , 2108 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Los Angeles A (SS-A)-Milwaukee (SS-A) contest at Ballpark of Fremont. The Angels Steve Edwards and the Brewers Michelangelo Merlini will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Thus far this year, Edwards is batting .436 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 2 runs scored. |
