Czerwinski, Lara Suspended for Fracas Wednesday, June 26th , 2097 After an intense confrontation, both the Dust Devils Brock Czerwinski and the Royals Alex Lara were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Tri-City-Kansas City (SS-A) game. Brock Czerwinski will miss 4 games, while Alex Lara was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Brock Czerwinski commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Czerwinski is hitting .348 so far this season with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 8 hits including no home runs, 2 walks and .448 OBP. |
