Saunders Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, August 15th , 2111 The Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox fell to the Eugene Emeralds in Ballpark of Jersey City, even as 24-year-old center fielder Tim Saunders upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Saunders finished with 2 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the White Sox from dropping the 4-2 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Saunders.
