Injury Sidelines Ricky Lopez For Year Thursday, August 12th , 2106 Kansas City (SS-A) starting pitcher Ricky Lopez suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Reds. According to club doctors Lopez has shoulder inflammation. Although Lopez has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. To date this season, Lopez has registered 0 starts, 2-2 won-lost mark, 4.07 ERA, 48.2 IP, 41 strikeouts and 25 walks. Opposing teams have hit .257 against him. |
