Northwest League's Best Batter Announced Monday, August 18th , 2110 The top batter in the Northwest League last week was Justin Roth, who batted .400 and towered above everybody with a 7-game hitting barrage. During the week Roth banged out a .400 batting average (12-for-30), 3 home runs, 9 runs batted in and scored 8 runs. Today the Chicago A (SS-A) second baseman received the NWL Player of the Week Award. In 51 games Roth is hitting .276 this season with 58 hits, 6 home runs, 30 RBIs, 14 walks, .332 OBP and has scored 30 runs. |
