NWL Names Angels Phillips Winner Monday, July 15th , 2097 It was announced today by the Northwest League that Los Angeles A (SS-A) left fielder John Phillips had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Los Angeles A (SS-A) left fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .522 average (12-for-23) with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. In the current season, Phillips has put up a .333 batting average with 22 hits, 7 home runs, 22 runs batted in and scored 15 runs. |
