AquaSox Gamino Gone for Year
Wednesday, September 4th , 2109
When Juan Gamino was hurt against the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals, the Everett AquaSox were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 23-year-old closer suffered a fractured elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Gamino would miss 7 months of the season.
Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Gamino has 22 relief appearances, pitched 49.1 innings and fashioned a 4-1 record with a 2.01 ERA. He has recorded 6 saves, struck out 64 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .213 when he is on the hill.
