Eugene Emeralds Guaranteed Top Spot in West Division Monday, September 9th , 2109 Eugene Emeralds fans have reason to celebrate today, as their franchise is the class of the West Division. With their record standing at 46-27, the club officially wrapped up the division title today, for the 35th time. Manager Valentino Garzelli said everyone on their roster is looking forward to the postseason and trying to capture the club's 12th championship. "That's what you dream about your whole life," Garzelli said. Third Baseman John Chapman added that it's a great feeling to win the division, but said ultimately, a Round 3 victory is what will mark success for the club. |
