League Rules Iglesias Out 3 Games
Sunday, August 4th , 2097
Kansas City (SS-A) Royals left fielder Juan Iglesias was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox.
"I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Iglesias said.
He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes.
After his ejection, Iglesias went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed."
Iglesias is presently hitting at a .211 pace with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 9 times.
