Monge Wins NWL Best Player Award Monday, August 15th , 2107 Luis Monge must have thought he died and went to heaven this week. First he went on a remarkable batting rampage, hammering the ball at a .483 clip, then the Atlanta (SS-A) third baseman finds out he has been voted the league's top performer and gets the NWL Player of the Week Award.
