Season May Be Over for Dust Devils Weber
Wednesday, August 20th , 2098
The doctors have spoken and Adam Weber of the Tri-City Dust Devils didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Weber sustained his season-ending injury during the Eugene Emeralds game yesterday at Gesa Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Tri-City medical staff reported Weber had a ruptured medial collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.
Weber is presently hitting at a .246 pace with no home runs, 17 RBIs and has scored 16 times.
