Chavez's Season Could be Over Tuesday, September 9th , 2110 Playoff hopes of Canadians player Victor Chavez have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the closer suffered a stretched elbow ligament throwing a pitch in today's game against Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers. Chavez is expected to miss up to 9 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. Thus far this year, Chavez has picked up 5 saves. He has also compiled a 3-2 won-lost mark with a 3.94 ERA and in 32 innings fanned 37. |
