Eugene Emeralds Guaranteed Top Spot in West Division Tuesday, September 9th , 2098 The Eugene Emeralds are champions of the West Division, but don't plan the parade quite yet. "It's a nice accomplishment, but we haven't done anything until we win the Round 3," said starting pitcher Jake Beavers. "We're going to celebrate this for sure, but the real celebration is still to come for fans in Eugene." The club's record currently sits at 47-26. It is the team's 28th division title and they will be seeking the franchise's 10th Northwest League championship. Team manager Eddie Rangel said he plans to take some time to celebrate the division title, but then it's "back to work" for members of the team and coaching staff. |
