5 Hits for Hops Kish
Monday, September 9th , 2097
Paul Kish of the Hops was unstoppable in today's 16-3 victory over the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds at Stallions Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Hillsboro second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Paul Kish singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
So far this season, Kish has recorded a .300 batting average with 80 hits, 2 home runs, 22 RBIs, 33 runs scored and a .383 OBP.
