Johnson City Blanks Pulaski Behind Colmenares
Saturday, July 27th , 2109
Jordan Colmenares put a hex on the Pulaski Yankees in a sparkling 9-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 5-hit gem.
"I felt good physically," he said after the game. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."
The Yankees were anything but comfortable against the 22-year-old Johnson City Cardinals hurler, who fanned 9 and gave up 2 walks.
"Colmenares used his changeup very well, very effectively," said opposing manager Steve Chase. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
This season, Colmenares shows a 3-2 record in 6 games, 47.1 innings, 54 strikeouts, and a 1.71 ERA.
