Sanabria Goes 5-for-6 Against San Francisco (Rk+)
Wednesday, July 16th , 2110
Humberto Sanabria of the Rays was unstoppable in his team's 19-7 victory over the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants at H.P. Hunnicutt Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Princeton shortstop after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Humberto Sanabria doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Venceslau Mana in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In the current season, Sanabria has put up a .345 batting average with 29 hits, 4 home runs, 17 runs batted in and scored 24 runs.
