Rebolledo Stops Princeton Cold, 1-0
Saturday, September 26th , 2111
The Princeton Rays manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Johnson City Cardinals. The Rays were overpowered by Johnson City starter Jose Rebolledo, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Rusty Brady said.
Over 9 innings, Rebolledo blanked Princeton on 1 hit with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Rebolledo said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
This year, Rebolledo has compiled a 1-3 record with a 3.77 ERA in 5 starts.
