Gale King of Fling with No-Hitter Tuesday, August 21st , 2114 Excitement reigned at Ballpark of Cool Valley as Boston (Rk+) Red Sox hurler Mark Gale tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Bristol Pirates, 4-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Gale said. "Today I just went right at the Pirates as hard as I could, as long as I could." Gale, who is tied for 6th in the APP in complete games with 1, chalked up 7 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks in his superb performance.
