Rangers Griffin Out Rest Of Season
Tuesday, August 5th , 2110
The doctors have spoken and Chris Griffin of the Texas (AZL) Rangers didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Griffin sustained his season-ending injury during the Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers game yesterday at Holman Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Texas (AZL) medical staff reported Griffin had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
Currently Griffin has a 0-0 won-lost record in 0 starts with a 4.91 ERA. He also has 9 strikeouts in 7.1 innings.
