Ruckus Reaps 3-Game Suspensions Monday, August 20th , 2108 At a recent Padres-Athletics contest at Peoria Sports Complex, Jason Patterson of San Diego (AZL) took exception to what Jim Unknown of Oakland (AZL) said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 3 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." This year, Patterson has hit at a .347 clip with 14 RBIs, 2 home runs and 15 runs scored. |
