Erickson Wins AZL Best Player Award Monday, August 17th , 2111 Steve Erickson of the Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks had an award-winning week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Arizona Rookie League. For the week the 23-year-old center fielder batted .571 (12-for-21) with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. Thus far this year, Erickson is hitting .331 with 10 home runs, 35 RBIs and 33 runs scored. |
