Saldana 5-for-5 for Diamondbacks
Tuesday, September 10th , 2109
It seemed Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks center fielder Ramon Saldana could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right.
The Diamondbacks fell against the Chicago N (AZL) Cubs by the score of 8-4. Saldana did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Chicago N (AZL) prevailed at Sloan Park.
"I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Saldana said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that."
Ramon Saldana singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
So far this season, Saldana has put up a .294 batting average with 32 hits, 2 home runs and 16 RBIs.
