Arizona (AZL) right fielder Mike Parker thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Arizona (AZL) to a win, 16-1, over Oakland (AZL). "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Parker said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Parker was 5-for-6 on the day with 8 runs batted in. Mike Parker hit an RBI triple in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Joel Molina in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Angelo Buckland in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jesús Arcipreste in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far in 2111 Parker is batting .397 with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 204 at-bats and a .496 OBP. |
